Richard Bone

Richard Bone is a bit of a mystery as far as proven dates go.

We know that Richard was born around 1802 according to his burial record. We believe that he was christened on 10 July 1803 in Shaugh Prior, Devonshire, England and is the son of Francis Bone and Mary Tall.  This is the only Richard Bone being born in Devon around this time.

He was a navigator, although I have no documented proof.

He was buried on 22 March 1831 in Kennford, Devonshire, England.

When Elizabeth (Anstey) married after her husband's untimely death, she was living in Shaugh Parish amd married in Kenn Parish. This tells me that they were living in Shaugh Prior around his death.

Richard named his first son Francis Bone and this could have been after his father.

There are 8 Richard Bones for the entire England (according to Find My Past) born between 1801 and 1805.
