For a while I have had this photo but the name that went with it was Edith Sarah Layton, daughter of Sarah A Crockett and Charles Layton. My Aunt Kathy came out to stay for a bit and we went through some old photos for Edith Sarah Layton. When we came to this one we both felt that this was not Edith Sarah but rather her mother Sarah Ambrosine. This is the one that we compared it to come to this conclusion.
What do you think? Are these the same person? I think it is.
I think they are the same person. The one at the top appears to be the more recent because of the style of clothing and the style of photography. She also has more pronounced wrinkles under her eyes in the top photo, so maybe 5 years later
